Though Thou didst descend into the grave, O Immortal One, yet didst Thou destroy the power of hell, and didst rise again as Conqueror, O Christ our God, saying to the myrrhbearing women, Rejoice! and giving peace to Thine Apostles, and offering to the fallen resurrection.
Troparion
O great and holiest Passover, Christ! O Wisdom, Word and Power of God! Grant that we may more perfectly partake of Thee in the unending Day of Thy Kingdom.
Exapostilarion
Having slept in the flesh as a mortal, O King and Lord, Thou didst rise on the third day. Thou didst raise up Adam from corruption and abolish death, O Passover of incorruption, Salvation of the world!

With the streams of thy tears thou didst irrigate the barren desert,/ and with sighs from the depths of thy soul thou didst render thy labors fruitful an hundredfold./ Thou wast a beacon for the whole world, radiating miracles.// O our father John, entreat Christ God that our souls be saved.

From thy youth thou didst love Christ, O blessed Sophronius; thou didst guide aright the communities of monastics; and, having been counted worthy of the priestly rank, thou didst shepherd the flock of Irkutsk. Wherefore, even after thy repose thou hast received from God gifts of miracles. Entreat Christ God, that He deliver us from misfortunes and save our souls.

O all ye faithful, with love let us praise our father, the holy hierarch Sophronius, the excellent adornment of the Church of Irkutsk, a hierarch named for chastity; for he is the guardian of this city and land, and the advocate of our souls.
