Having partaken of the apostolic way of life,/ And becoming their successor to the throne,/ You have discovered in the practice of the virtues/ The way to divine contemplation./ Therefore dispensing the word of truth/ You have also suffered to the shedding of blood for the sake of the faith,// O holy martyr Theodotus, entreat Christ our God to save our souls.
O blessed Theodotus,/ You were truly a brilliant star enlightening all creation/ With your gift of wonders/ And your sacred suffering./ Therefore celebrating today your radiant memory,// In gladness of heart we magnify Christ.
In their sufferings, O Lord,/ Thy martyrs received imperishable crowns from Thee our God;/ for, possessed of Thy might,/ they set at nought the tormentors and crushed the feeble audacity of the demons.// By their supplications save Thou our souls.
Cleaving to the faith of Christ/ and loving the unfeigned promises of God,/ looking for eternal life and the blessedness of paradise,/ ye did steadfastly endure torture and did fervently bow your necks beneath the sword;/ wherefore, ye have been crowned by the hand of the Lord, O Kyriaki, Valeria and Maria,/ and your memory is glorious.// O passion-bearers, entreat ye Christ God, the Judge of the contest, for them that faithfully honor your struggles.
